Adventure Crew: Outdoor Drop-Off Program

Bigger Adventures. Greater Independence. Real Childhood.
For Ages 5-8.

Adventure Crew is a 1.5-hour weekly drop-off program for curious kids who are ready to explore farther, think bigger, and grow more independent in the outdoors. Each week, children investigate topics like gardening, wildlife, composting, pollinators, and seasonal changes while building practical outdoor skills through exploration, experimentation, and collaborative projects.

Inspired by forest school principles, Adventure Crew blends guided experiences with child-led exploration, giving children the freedom to discover, create, problem-solve, and build confidence through meaningful, hands-on experiences in nature.

Children deserve time to run, climb, build forts, dream up big ideas, and let their imaginations lead the way. In a world where so much childhood happens indoors, Adventure Crew offers something different—real adventures, genuine friendships, and conversations that happen side by side, not through a screen.

Designed for curious kids who love to ask questions and get their hands dirty, Adventure Crew combines nature education with child-led discovery. From building with natural materials and exploring forests to taking on hands-on projects and outdoor challenges, every class offers opportunities for children to learn through experience, connect with the natural world, and grow alongside their peers.

What We’ll Explore

Every week brings new opportunities to explore, create, and discover. Activities are inspired by the seasons, children’s interests, and the natural world.

Children may enjoy:

  • Building shelters, forts, and simple outdoor structures
  • Gardening and caring for plants
  • Nature investigations and wildlife identification
  • Outdoor challenges and team-building games
  • Hands-on projects and creative nature art
  • Forest walks and local ecosystem exploration
  • Child-led exploration and imaginative play

Every class is unique, allowing children to follow their curiosity while developing resilience, confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

*In some classes, we may venture into the nearby forest in the park across the street. Children will wear safety vests.*

Why Adventure Crew?

Adventure Crew is about more than spending time outside.

It’s about giving children the opportunity to:

  • Build confidence through healthy challenges
  • Develop independence in a supportive environment
  • Form meaningful friendships through shared experiences
  • Strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Learn to care for the natural world
  • Environmental awareness and stewardship
  • Resilience through outdoor challenges

We believe some of childhood’s greatest lessons happen while climbing a log, building a fort, solving a challenge with friends, or simply wondering about the world around us.
