Wild Roots Nature Homeschool Collective
A nature-based community for homeschool families
Step outside the classroom and into the natural world.
Wild Roots Homeschool Collective is a weekly outdoor gathering where homeschool families come together for hands-on nature exploration, seasonal learning, creative projects, and meaningful connections.
Designed for children who thrive through movement, curiosity, and real-world experiences, each class follows a nature-inspired theme where children can investigate, create, discover, and build friendships outdoors.
Because childhood isn’t meant to happen behind a screen — it’s meant to happen with muddy hands, curious questions, new friends, and time spent exploring the world around us.
What to Expect
🌱 Wild Roots Nature Exploration
Our instructor introduces a seasonal nature theme through hands-on activities, observations, experiments, stories, and guided exploration.
🌿 Hands-On Learning
Children learn through doing — gardening, investigating, creating, collecting, building, and exploring the natural world.
🤝 Homeschool Community
Connect with other local homeschooling families while children develop friendships through outdoor play and shared experiences.
🎨 Creative Nature Projects
Children use natural materials and their imagination to create meaningful seasonal crafts and projects.
🌳 Child-Led Outdoor Play
After guided activities, children have time to explore, play, and follow their own curiosity in our outdoor environment.
Who Is It For?
Designed for homeschool families with children ages 2-7 who are looking for:
✔ Outdoor learning opportunities
✔ A consistent homeschool community
✔ Nature-based enrichment
✔ Social connections with other families
✔ More time outside and less time behind screens
This is not a drop-off program. A parent or caregiver remains with their child during the session.
Why Outdoor Learning?
Children are naturally curious.
When they have space to explore, question, and interact with the world around them, learning happens organically.
At Wild Roots, we believe children deserve childhood experiences filled with:
- Fresh air
- Real-life discoveries
- Imagination
- Friendship
- Connection to nature
Our goal is to help families slow down, step outside, and rediscover the joy of learning together.

The heart of Homeschool Collective is community.
Families are encouraged to contribute their own interests, ideas, and talents throughout the semester. Whether sharing a favorite story, leading a special activity, or simply connecting with other families, everyone plays a role in creating a welcoming homeschool community.
Wild Roots provides the outdoor space, seasonal themes, nature-based activities, and framework — while families help bring the community to life.
